Food
- La Palma Mexicatessen
- My favorite spot in SF! High quality but not fancy mexican food. Very clean burrito but I usually get the enchiladas with pollo en salsa. They also usually have a good drink option. Make sure to buy a handful of chicharron on the way out.
- Suppenkuche
- Cozy german spot. Schnitzel is my goto order
- Tartine Bakery
- One of the best croissants I’ve had! Try their kouign amann too
- Taqueria Vallarta
- Best tacos in SF
- Humphry Slocombe
- Good ice cream with fun seasonal flavors
- Pinhole Coffee
- Our favorite coffee shop at the top of Bernal Heights. You can walk up to Bernal hill after for a nice view :)
- Swan Oyster Depot
- Crazy line but crazy good fresh seafood.
- Palm City
- Amazing sandwiches. Walk and eat on Ocean beach :)
- Hook Fish Co
- High quality seafood. Love the poke here.
- Pop into Mollusk Surf Shop nearby.
- Kevin & Chris’s Noodle Shop
- I remember this being called “Kevin’s Noodle Shop 2”, who’s Chris?? Anyways, great pho and vibes.
- You can get pineapple buns while you wait at Pineapple King Bakery
- Cafe Reveille
- Nice burger or other American cafe stuff. Sit in the park nearby and enjoy :)
Spots
- Ocean Beach
- Either enter from Golden Gate park or go to Sutro Baths and walk over from there. Beautiful, long beach.
- Glen Canyon Park
- Favorite park in the city. You can get lost walking around and feeling like you’re in nature.
Out Of Town Spots
- Daisaku Ikeda Canyon
- Very cool beach to walk on. There is a secret back entrance on Avalon Dr I recommend.
- J V Fitzgerald Marine Reserve
- Really cool tide pool and mini hike through the trees overlooking the ocean and seals. Make sure to check the tide!
- Drive a little further down for Dad’s Luncheonette
- Tomales Point Trailhead
- Favorite hike! You walk down to the tip of a peninsula filled with elk, surrounded by ocean on both sides!
